8. Goddess in Scotland

After the murder of her husband, Lord Darnley, Mary Queen of Scots fled here with the Earl of Bothwell, a prime suspect in the murder. After her location was discovered, she escaped through a window dressed as a page boy.

  1. Make your way to this spot and park near the church.
  2. Walk down the lane and turn right just before reaching the gatehouse, and follow a small path along the top of the stream bank until you reach a wall.
  3. There'll be another path leading down to the stream at 60*. At this intersection, find a large tree at 140* and look for the goddess under something marked with the name of a nearby town.

For this box, you will need:

  • An inkpad
  • A towel or kitchen paper for cleaning mucky stamp, box or hands.
